iPhone5 Gorrila Pod Tripod Case

This case, initially meant for an iPhone 5 coupled with the Joby Mini Gorilla Pod that came with my Joby Switchback headlamp, is rarely utilized. However, it has been repurposed to capture time-lapse videos of Makerbot prints, eliminating camera shake when not affixed to the printer. The case and phone's vibration with the printer ensures steady video footage. Attaching the GorillaPod to the Makerbot requires a door on your Rep2, as the phone rests against it for support. To use this case, file down the base plate to fit nicely into the GorillaPod, avoiding forceful insertion. To remove the case from the GorillaPod, press the release button and apply thumb pressure on the bottom of the case; avoid pressing on thinner areas that might break it. Print settings include a .15 layer height, 100% infil, one shell, no raft, and support off, with ear tabs for easy post-print removal. The printer setup requires a Makerbot Replicator 2 with MakerWare slicer, glass build plate treated with Aquanet Hairspray, and 230°C temperature for Makerbot White filament.
