The original iPhone stand wasn't functioning properly because the pin that was required to hold its two sides together had snapped. The new 3D printed stand functions well with iPhones sporting slimmer phone cases. To improve the stand further, enlarging the indentation would enable it to fit bigger iPhone cases more easily.
