I built this for my iPad to securely fasten the cable underneath a cabinet, while the other end of the cable remains weighted in place. By pulling on the cable, I can easily plug in my iPad and then release it, causing the cable to recoil back under the cabinet.\r\n\r\nIt's worth noting that the cable I use is an Amazon-branded option, which is slightly thicker than the standard cable provided with the iPad. Using a stock cable would result in a very loose fit.
