# Mount your iPhone on your Mac ### Motivation Have you heard about [DeskView](https://www.apple.com/macos/continuity/)? It is one of the most powerful feature of macOS Ventura, but in order to use it, you must therefore attach your phone to the 5 mm screen edge of your MacBook. In order to do this, I designed this simple piece of hardware that allows you to do so. This mount can be used for any other configuration similar to the one described in the `Tested on` part. ### Tested on The configuration used for testing: - iPhone 13 Pro (12mm x 150mm with case) - MacBook Pro M1 16" (5mm edge thickness) ### Technical capabilities iPhone-compatible mounts and stands are available from many manufacturers. When mounted, make sure that your iPhone is: - Locked - Stable - Positioned with its rear cameras facing you - In landscape orientation to allow apps to choose your iPhone automatically With "Continuity", the new features available in MacOS Ventura, Center Stage, Portrait mode, Studio Light, and Desk View are now available. ## Other resources Find the Apple documentation [here](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213244).
