iPhone Lightning Anchor
thingiverse
Specifically designed for iPhones with intermittent charging issues. I got sick of my lightning cable not charging my iPhone (likely due to wear and tear because of its age - an iPhone 7S) I'd have to constantly adjust the cable end slightly, left or right, up or down once inserted into the iPhone for it to start charging, then sometimes in the night it would move and I'd end up with a half-charged phone in the morning. It was also frustrating when using the phone with charger inserted, as a slight bump would disconnect it from charging. For those who have newer phones that utilise wireless charging, lucky you! In the meantime for those who have to put up with a lightning cable, this may help hold the cable more firmly and securely in the phones charging port. Fairly simple design with a few different sizes provided, each having a larger gap to compensate for the depth of the phone (front to back) 7.8mm, 8.8mm, 9.8mm, 10.8mm. Up to you to choose the right size. Here are standard iPhone depths (without a case) iPhone 5S = 7.6mm iPhone 6 = 6.9mm iPhone 6+ / 6S = 7.1mm iPhone SE = 7.6mm iPhone 7 = 7.1mm iPhone 7+ / 8 / SE (2nd gen) = 7.3mm iPhone 8+ = 7.5mm iPhone X / XS / XS Max = 7.7mm iPhone XR = 8.3mm iPhone 11 Pro / Prox Max = 8.1mm iPhone 11 = 8.3mm iPhone 12 / 12 Mini / Pro / Pro Max = 7.4mm Ensure you allow for a larger size if you do have a phone case. As an example, the 8.8mm depth works well for my iPhone 7S with an Evutec case. If you like it, click Like! If you make it, post your Make!
