iPhone Lamp Clip
thingiverse
This bracket attaches your phone to a small desk lamp's metal shade using a single small bolt and nut. The lamp has a weighted base and an adjustable neck, perfect for stabilizing your device during video recording or timelapse photography of drawings. A time-lapse sketch video showcasing this clip can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5EMarSBe0o. The app used for recording time-lapse videos is Frameograph. Designed specifically for an iPhone 5c, other devices might also fit, given the clip's cross section dimensions of 59mm by 8.5mm. If using a low-wattage compact fluorescent bulb, be cautious with higher wattage options to avoid melting the plastic. An accidental break led to a reinforced version of the final clip, slightly thicker and with ribs for added corner strength. The creator is learning through trial and error in design principles and PLA properties. To print this design, use PLA with a 0.2mm layer height, 3 top & bottom layers, 2 perimeters, and 0.1 rectilinear infill. Drilling out the hole in the base may be necessary for easy bolt fitting.
