Iphone/Ipad cable fix

I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue with Apple charging cables, but some of mine have the insulation begin to fray closer to the connector. They still function properly, yet I worry about using them like this because I fear that the wires inside may become overstretched and eventually cease working. This is my approach to fixing the problem, which has worked for me so far for nearly a year. Please note that no warranty is implied. Use at your own risk.
