iPhone Cradle with Sound Ports

I envisioned a sleek mobile phone stand that doubles as a sound reflector/booster with minimalistic design. Originally tailored for my iPhone 6 Plus secured in a protective gel case along with a standard Apple Lightning charging cable, this innovative solution is designed to accommodate various types of iPhones thanks to its open cradle design. To ensure versatility, I eliminated the need for adhesive altogether. The Apple Lightning cable is securely fastened using an M3 (~#4-40) screw measuring approximately 12mm~15mm in length, allowing for adjustable positioning based on the phone case used. The cable also features elastic capture within a bottom groove without any adhesive required. To ensure clearance, I tested with PLA at a layer thickness of 0.3mm. Version 3 incorporates design adjustments to reduce overhang in the bolt counterbore. Download and enjoy! If you appreciate this build, share your thoughts or upload your creation photos here.
