I craved a lightning-fast way to stabilize my iPhone 6+ on a compact tripod, so I rapidly fabricated this clamp. It effortlessly accommodates iPhones horizontally in sizes ranging from 5 to 6+. A standard 1/4-20 nut mounted to the base with some scorching hot glue will enable smooth integration onto a versatile tripod. This DIY project was undertaken in a tight timeframe and could benefit from improvements, such as 1) downsizing it slightly to minimize material consumption, 2) tightening up the slider clearances for enhanced precision, and 3) smoothening (or carefully filing) the edges where the bands attach to reduce wear.
