The design purpose of a custom iPhone 7s car mount with charging capabilities involves installing a specific bracket in your vehicle; *see note below. After being used for eight months without any issues, this accessory can be adapted for various vehicles depending on the type of mount. The Outback owner's love has increased even more. The mounting bracket is made from .050" sheet metal, shaped to fit the radio's screws. Here are the steps: 1) remove the radio trip, 2) custom-fit a stainless steel bracket plate under the radio mount screws, and 3) file a small part of the radio trim cover for the new mount plate. While I simplified the process, it requires accurate dimensions for the bracket plate. The plate was created manually using pliers to bend metal, proving it's an easy task. Note: Unfortunately, no CAD design is available for the bracket plate.
