iPhone 6S Car Mount

This is a phone cradle engineered precisely for an iPhone 6S encased in Apple's premium Leather case. I designed it primarily for myself but believed others might appreciate its unique functionality as well. The design boasts a channel specifically tailored to accommodate an Apple Lightning cable. The process of inserting the Lightning connector involves threading the cable perpendicular to the cradle, followed by rotating the connector parallel to the mount and then carefully pushing it back into place within the channel. Tight tolerances are deliberately implemented to ensure a secure connection between the phone and the mount. When lifted, the user can easily detach their device, while the connector remains firmly seated. The design eschews traditional vent mounts in favor of a more straightforward approach. Instead of utilizing physical connections, I employed Command velcro strips for seamless attachment to my dashboard. Feel free to adapt this solution or experiment with alternative mounting methods that suit your preferences. Print Settings: Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Notes: Note the cradle's tolerances, which are slightly loose to accommodate a variety of printers without compromising print quality. If necessary, sanding may be required for optimal fit within the lightning cable channel; individual results will vary. The intended printing size is precisely set at 75.0mm x 86.6mm x 13.7mm.
