iPhone 6 Plus dock
thingiverse
I use my iPhone as an alarm clock every day but have never been able to find a dock that I think is worth the money. In response, I decided to design and build one myself. My goal was for it to be very slim and not take up much space like the phone does. Designed with 123D Design, cut into precise slices using Simplify 3D and printed on a Printrbot Simple Metal through a Raspberry Pi B+ running Octopi. It uses the exact same data/charging cable that came with my iPhone. Instructions Designed with 123D Design, sliced into fine layers by Simplify 3D and printed out quickly on a Printrbot Simple Metal through a Raspberry Pi B+ operating with ease under Octopi. Printed smoothly in high-quality PLA at an incredibly precise 0.2mm layer height, supported strongly by 20% solid infill. Completed in just about 2 hours total time.
