UPDATE July 9, 2017: minor adjustments were made to the phone mounting bracket to improve its functionality. The phone clasps were thinned down to reduce friction, making it easier to attach and detach the device. Two new socket cut-outs were added to accommodate both horizontal and vertical orientations, and the socket contact angle with the ball joint was slightly increased for a more stable connection. This swivel mount is specifically designed to fit a 2.5-inch wide crib railing with one flat and one rounded side, matching the dimensions of many cribs on the market. The mounting bracket snaps easily onto the railing, providing a secure hold. With a crib rail depth of about 1 inch, this mount fits snugly in place. The base of the swivel mount is large enough to function as a freestanding tabletop or countertop stand, as long as it remains undisturbed. However, please be aware that bumps or vibrations may cause the device to move. After several iterations, the ball and socket joint was perfected to achieve optimal friction levels and prevent breakage during assembly.
