Macro Lens Adapter for iPhone 6 and 6+ This design fits both iPhone 6 and 6+, as well as iPad Mini. I originally created this version for my iPhone 4 when I was unable to find close-up image quality that met my standards. A high-quality surplus lens, available for $5, provides excellent macro images. Check out the example photos. Important Note: This model will not slide over iPhone 6 and 6+ cases; it fits only on an uncovered iPhone. I am currently working on a version designed specifically for cases. To assemble this adapter, print the model, then purchase a glass lens from Surplus Shed for $4.50 (Part Number L4581). Use their Lens Finder tool to locate the part by typing: Lens Type: PCX, Plano Convex; Diameter: 12mm to 12mm; Focal length: 39mm to 39mm. The lens fits into a recess in the model and is held in place with a small drop of Superglue. If glue gets on the lens, it can be removed with nail polish remover or acetone. Easy Assembly Instructions: 1. Insert the lens into the model, ensuring the flat side faces the phone. 2. Press the lens firmly into the opening before applying glue. 3. Make sure the lens is seated properly against the support ring at the bottom of the hole. 4. Apply a tiny drop of superglue to two or three spots around the edge of the lens, where it meets the plastic holder. 5. Let the assembly sit for 5 minutes before cleaning the lens.
