iPhone 6 Center Rail

The "universal" phone holder in my 2012 Mini Countryman won't hold the longer iPhone 6 so I made this one. It's slightly larger to account for the additional size of most cases. I've been using it and while its quality isn't the same as the original, it works very well. The flat base is 3mm thick and quite flexible. This flexibility doesn't bother me but if you want something more solid, choose a 4mm base instead. Also, consider a shiny plastic material since this Strong and Flexible (Black) marks up easily. You'll need a torx T10, T25, and a large flathead screwdriver or knife to remove the original phone holder from the Mini rail.
