I designed an iPhone mount that securely holds my phone in either a vertical position for music playback or a horizontal position as a GPS device while driving. Frequent road trips of up to 7 hours made it hazardous to hold the phone and drive, so I created this gadget to solve the problem. It works perfectly with slimmer Otter Box cases and can be used without a case on the phone. I uploaded various versions of the case for users to choose from. Since my printer only prints in PLA plastic, I had to redesign the mount after it melted into the dashboard on a hot day in Florida. To improve strength and stability, I created multiple versions with varying sidewall designs. The vent hook and slider component must be attached with glue or epoxy, while the slider makes orientation easy and allows for convenient storage by not warping even in high temperatures. If you receive a call while driving, you can quickly slide off the phone holder from the vent hook and hold it like normal.
