iPhone 6 Basic Case
thingiverse
Human: This is a basic iPhone 6 shell case, thoroughly tested to fit on actual devices. It measures 50 mils thick all around and has openings for sleep/wake buttons and volume controls, providing a blank back so feel free to add your personal touch via customization. Feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated.\nUPDATE:\nv3: The latest design features curved edges that improve aesthetics and prevent pants from snagging on the phone case, as shown in bronze fill colors.\nv2: In response to feedback, we've increased the width of the case by 20 mils, allowing it to snugly fit the phone with a little extra ease while remaining securely held in place.\nSLDPRT: For users who would like to create their own case, I have uploaded a SolidWorks file as requested. It was originally designed using SolidWorks 2013, offering a customizable base model.\n\nInstructions for creating this exact case can be found below: To print this shell case, you'll want to start by setting your printer settings to a 100% scale in PLA material on a MendelMax 1.5 printer. Due to its relatively thin build, it was possible to skip the infill layers and simply let the 3D print go. However, please note that this design may not function properly if you were to attempt printing with infill - this can be tested separately for confirmation of fitment without cracking.\nAll designs made in SolidWorks.
