iPhone 5s mount for cheap 60x loupe (split)
myminifactory
This design features a customizable loupe mount that prints in two parts and can be glued together seamlessly. To achieve a smooth bottom layer for the clip portion, I opted to print it in one piece with supports removed, which resulted in a rough surface. To rectify this issue, I extended and thickened the outer shell of the design, providing more surface area for gluing and added tabs and holes for precise alignment. The loupe mount is specifically designed to fit an iPhone 5/5s with case (Apple leather case) and works seamlessly with a $7 60x jeweler's loupe available on Amazon. To adjust the dimensions of the design, users can utilize DesignSpark Mechanical, and refer to the OpenSCAD model in my original design for accurate measurements. This particular design is not customizable through the Customizer, but I have included the RSDOC file for DesignSpark Mechanical for further modifications. To print this design successfully: - Set the layer height to .20mm and extrusion width to .40mm to prevent issues with tabs or gaps in the top of the tube. - Flip the parts over during printing so that the overhanging surfaces are facing down. - The assembled STL is provided for reference, but can be printed with support if desired. For assembly, superglue, 2 part epoxy, or ABS dissolved in acetone can be used to glue the parts together, depending on the material choice.
