I have numerous spools of wire that were quite disorganized, with loose wire ends either taped in place or tucked into the wires themselves. I considered using a plastic clip to hold everything in position, and after some thought, here's what I came up with. The spools I'm working with are commonly available from stores like Fry's and Micro Center, with diameters ranging from 50mm when fully loaded down to around 30mm when empty. To create the most accurate representations, I developed two sets of designs for each reel height – one for spools that were nearly full and another for those that were almost depleted. I couldn't, however, obtain a mostly empty spool, which made it impossible to test the 30mm design size, so I'm not entirely certain why this wouldn't work. The print settings are fairly standard: * Printer: XYZ Da Vinci 1.0 * Resolution: .3 mm * Infill Percentage: 10% As for the print itself, there was nothing out of the ordinary to report. I applied a glue stick to secure the print in place on the bed and did not require any rafts or support structures.
