iPhone 5 Tripod Mount

My iPhone tripod mount is built with a unique hexagonal hole at its base, where an 11mm nut with 20 threads per inch can be securely fastened. To achieve a tight fit, some users may need to slightly file the bolt before installation. This design decision helps ensure that the nut stays in place without shifting. A cleverly designed cutout on the mount's bottom allows for convenient use as a viewing stand. When designing my tripod mount, I prioritized printability above all else. A few other mounts with gorillapod-style designs had caused issues during printing due to complex geometry and angles. By focusing on ease of manufacture, I've created an iPhone mount that prints well on a range of devices. This device is perfect for everyday use. Here's how to get the most out of it: The instructions were made in Slic3r with a 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill without any support structures. It was printed on a Printrbot Simple Metal using PLA.
