iPhone 5 Dock variant

iPhone 5 Dock variant

thingiverse

This Lightning cable dock, based on Thing 33338, simplifies iPhone 5 connection with a redesigned trough accepting rubber-cased or naked phones. Thanks to Okatake's original design and SCAD code assistance, the dock includes an updated version using an M3 grub screw for better connector grip. The author printed it in clear PLA with 20% infill, using Cura for slicing. To assemble, insert the iPhone's Lightning connector into the trough and seat the phone inside before filling the resin around the connector's base. A left-side hole allows earbud connection via the iPhone's jack. The author used an eBay cable, but advises using Apple's genuine cable for optimal performance.
