iPad tripod mount
thingiverse
Revisit your blog for details on using a tripod mount that fixes an iPad to a quick release tripod, offering more stability than using the camera's mounting screw. This design suits a Miranda Titan TP2, with rectangular hole dimensions of 40x43x9.5mm. You can edit files in Creo2 (Academic edition) and import them into other CAD programs as Neutral (.neu) files. The mount has been successful on a 3DS/Bits from Bytes 3D Touch printer, but should work on others too. An update includes side clips and a middle slider with 20mm wide elastic for extra security against the iPad slipping off. To assemble, 3D print the parts, slide top plate over bottom clamp (glue if needed), insert steel strip, heat and screw in a bolt, slide clamps onto strip, place iPad between them, and attach to tripod QR mount for photography or videography.
