My wife was constantly complaining about the iPads cluttering up our countertop and making the place look untidy, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I designed a solution that would keep them out of sight when not in use, which led me to create another set for installation in a cupboard. Next time around, I plan to print them using Wood PLA, so they blend seamlessly into their surroundings. This ingenious iPad shelf mounts discreetly underneath the countertop, accommodating 1-3 iPads while keeping them charged and secure. Its two-part design allows for adjustable storage space, perfect for laptops, MacBooks, iPad Pros, or any other tablet you can think of. Safety first! A built-in back stop prevents the iPads from falling out, and there are conveniently located fixing screw holes to ensure a sturdy installation. Printing Tips: When it comes to printing settings, I recommend using 8% infill for optimal results. Initially, I printed with 6%, but found it to be a bit weak. If you're planning to use this design for a laptop, consider increasing the infill to 10%. As for layer height, I settled on 0.3mm, as the finish isn't crucial in this case.
