ipad stand

I ve printed this for my girlfriend so we can cook with her ipad in vertical orientation. That was the very first request.

The good idea about this design is it doesnt require to remove the casing of the ipad (we only have one lifte...better skip as many daily chores as we can...). It accomodates for 1.5 cm width for the ipad (that measures 1 cm - casing included, so lots of space)

Because her ipad (ipad pro 11") is quite heavy (and big) i had my doubts about stability of the original design, so i remixed it.

I made the angle less steep (53°) though i think lower would have been a bit better but she s happy with the choice (this way she has a better view on her ipad).

Stability : the design didn't tilt over, even when "pushing the buttons" on the screen, so, good !

I tried to improve the corners with fredo6 but i guess i m not good at using this tool.

I tried to smooth the whole design with meshmixer (which i adore), but no success.

I tried to print it with no infill (0%), and surprisingly, it worked ! (hot day, 30°C in the room, fan set to 50%).

It took less than 5 hours (i increased the speed to 160% of the initial cura settings), with 66 g of PLA.
