I find the improvement in sound quality when two of these units are installed to be nothing short of astonishing. Especially during film viewings or spoken presentations, where dialogue is now distinctly clear and Stereo effects have greatly improved, with higher frequencies becoming much more audible. It's apparent that Apple was constrained by design limitations, but having speakers facing outwards instead of directly towards the viewer is technically flawed. Higher audio frequencies are highly directional, resulting in a significant loss of HF register when using side-facing speaker outlets. After installation, you may need to adjust your treble equalization settings as they can sometimes become overpowering; however, I personally prefer this characteristic, finding it adds a bright and clear sound quality that I thoroughly enjoy.
