iPad Mini Stand

One-piece iPad stand with two angles that can be printed for iPad Pro, featuring a 150mm diameter, or smaller iPads by adjusting the diameter. The stand is parametrically designed using OpenSCAD files, which allows it to be printed on a MakerBot Mini for use with an iPad Mini utilizing a 100mm diameter. Yes, this design miniaturizes perfectly! I'm thrilled that this creation will be useful for those who prefer smaller devices. To access the OpenSCAD files, visit: https://github.com/thrasher/ipad-mini-stand The Write.scad file can be found at: https://github.com/rohieb/Write.scad Additionally, you can find this project on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16193/ Update: The inside-sphere writing feature has been removed from the .stl file posted here. Print Settings: * Printer Brand: MakerBot * Printer: MakerBot Replicator Mini * Rafts: Yes * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.1mm * Infill: 10% Notes: To ensure a sturdy print, use three shells to provide strength to the outside and allow for better overhang in the middle of the sphere. Note that the maximum build size of a MakerBot Mini is 10cm, which can accommodate an iPad Mini or a regular iPad Air at a 40-degree angle. To modify these values, simply adjust the OpenSCAD file, create a new .stl, and print. Designing This Stand: I initially created this stand to hold my wife's iPad for easier reading at steeper angles than what her case/cover provided. I wanted to support not just iPads but also other tablets with or without covers. Furthermore, I desired the ability to add custom text, discreetly placed on the inside of the sphere. The Write.scad library effectively facilitates this requirement, although a minor tweak is necessary for writing on the interior of a sphere.
