##**DJI Mavic Pro - Holder for IPad Mini 4**## Keep checking back regularly, I'll be uploading variations and tweaks every week or whenever design changes are made! ###**Updates - See bottom of summary for more details**### - June 23, 2017 Shade holder modification. - June 24, 2017 V3 Shade holder with side shades added. - June 24, 2017 Original Hood removed and rear view added. ###**Summary of parts**### - Base to hold Mavic RC - Left and Right IPad Mini 4 Holders - Sun Shade Holder - Optional - Sun Shade - Optional ###**How to use**### Just follow these simple steps: 1. Slide the Shade Holder into the base (#4) until it slides out of one dovetail into the next. 2. The holder should sit right in the middle of the two dovetails on the base. 3. Slide the Left IPad holder (#2) into the base(#4). 4. Insert the IPad into The Left IPad holder (#2). 5. Place the Right hand IPad holder (#3) onto the Right of the IPad and into the dovetail on the base (#4) 6. Clamp the Mavic controller onto number 4 (Base) gently or you may break the Stops built into the Left and Right IPad holders. 7. Slide in the V1 Shade or V3 with Side shades as required. If you don't need to use the shade, just skip steps 1 and 6. ###**Design Notes**### I designed this holder to be modular so it can be broken down into smaller parts for easy transport / packing. The Sun Shade and holder are also optional in this way. The shade was not made too wide or this would inhibit your thumbs from accessing the RC joysticks easily. This may still be an issue for users with smaller hands, but I have large hands and I don't have a problem. Think of this as a IPad holding the RC rather than the RC holding the IPad, it will help you get used to the design and how to use it. ###**Tips**### The screen shots from Simplify3D show the best orientation for the parts and the support material for the best quality print. Support material is a MUST where noted on the Simplify3D screen Shots and print should be oriented as shown as per the screen shots or you may get poor fitting dovetails and finish. ###**Printing Notes**### PLA was used and tested. ABS or other plastics could be used, but due to shrinkage you may have problems with the dovetails or fitting the parts to the Mavic. You could try to compensate for the shrinkage, but I foresee lots of wasted prints! ###**To Come**### I will upload more parts / tweaks as needed (Or as I think of them). I am deciding whether shades for the sides are needed when I go flying this weekend. Any updates to existing parts or additions will be noted in Updates at the bottom of the summary. - I will upload photos in the next few days when I get a chance to take some. ###**Updates**### - June 23, 2017 Shade Holder V2 uploaded. Removed original. Found the Shade holder was too tall and may cause the shade to restrict the view of lower joystick movements. Stick will miss the shade with either holder, just couldn't see the stick in the low position too well. Moved the holder slot down by 5mm. This is V2. - June 24, 2017 V3 Shade holder with side shades added. Not tested as yet.
