iPad Mini 2 Gaming Grips (PUBG, etc)
cults3d
A set of gaming hand grips for an iPad Mini 2 that allow thumbs on the screen with two triggers for each hand, designed for PUBG, but should work for anything that has mappable controls. I use Trigger & Scope on the right, and Reload & Jump on the left. I got inspired by angelocasi's Thing, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2960274, and borrowed his use of aluminum and foam tape, and the use of rivet pins for the trigger pivots too. Thanks! The key to getting it to work is the foam tape under the aluminum to allow good contact on the screen. They fit snug, but can be slid off if needed. I leave mine on, but next time I would tape the contacts on a little different, like in the last pictures. After printing, you need aluminum tape, solid core wire 1.5mm to the outside of the casing, 4X 1/8" rivets or similar and double sided foam tape for the contact pads and the 2X2mm double stack for the springs on the triggers(make sure they're close to the pivot, so the pressure to push them is not too high) After printing and removing the supports, drill out the wire channels as required to clean them up, drill the trigger pivot channels for firm fit on the body and free rotation on the triggers. assemble as the pictures.
