iPad Mini 2 Gaming Grips (PUBG, etc)
thingiverse
A set of gaming hand grips for an iPad Mini 2 that enable thumbs to stay on the screen with two triggers per hand, designed specifically for PUBG but suitable for any game with mappable controls. I use Trigger & Scope on the right and Reload & Jump on the left. I drew inspiration from angelocasi's creation, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2960274, and borrowed his innovative use of aluminum and foam tape, as well as the clever application of rivet pins for trigger pivots. Thanks! The key to success lies in the foam tape under the aluminum, allowing for excellent contact on the screen. They fit snugly but can be easily removed if needed. I opt to leave mine intact, but next time I plan to secure the contacts differently, as shown in the final pictures. To complete the project, you'll need aluminum tape, a 1.5mm solid core wire for the exterior casing, four 1/8" rivets or similar, and double-sided foam tape for the contact pads and the 2X2mm double stack springs on the triggers (ensure they're positioned close to the pivot to prevent excessive pressure). After printing, remove the supports and drill out the wire channels as needed to refine them. Drill the trigger pivot channels to achieve a firm fit on the body and smooth rotation on the triggers. Assemble the parts according to the images provided.
