To fit my iPad with a thick case, I modified Thingiverse's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:9459). The case allows for both iPad usage and digital photo album functionality when docked. Additionally, it comes with an insert for docking iPhones or iPods. The design suits iPads fitting into a 5mm-wide slot in front of the 30-pin connector's midline and 15mm behind it. A semicircular slot enables Home Button usage when devices are docked, while hexagonal holes redirect sound from an iPhone speaker and mic. Single-layer ears may not suffice for severe curling issues. I widened the device but recommend high infill for stability. Adhesive felt feet enhance desk placement.
