This is an evolution of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3135344, which you should check out for some details on the build process. It's designed specifically for an iPad Air 2, but by adjusting the height of the spacers, it can fit other tablet models as well. The device features four triggers and is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable grip. The capacitance is transferred from your fingers to the screen via aluminum tape and 1.5mm solid core wire. To build this device, you'll need several components, including eight bolts that are 4-5mm in diameter and 25-30mm long, or equivalent parts (I used 3/16" bolts and they worked fine without nuts on the end). You'll also require four rivet stems that are 1/8" thick, some 20mm shrinkwrap (or electrical tape), aluminum tape, solid core wire, and foam tape. The design should print without any support material. The picture shown is of my prototype, which doesn't have the wires routed properly yet, and the cutouts on the sides for button access are not included either. However, I'll make sure to add those features when I print the final version. Here are a few pictures of the triggers and contact pads, created using 20mm shrinkwrap, aluminum tape, and double-sided foam tape. EDIT: Since then, I've added microswitches to each trigger using a soldering iron, which effectively removes the switch bounce inherent in the wire-to-wire contact switch used in this version. I'll try to integrate these into the design and upload it when possible...
