I wanted to mount an iPad in two different spots on my dashboard. One spot was right in front of the original screen, and the other one was directly above it. The holders for the brackets that attach to the OEM radio are designed to work with iPads, whether they have a case or not. The top position holders, however, can only handle an iPad without a case. I found that when using a case, the top spot was too high, but this is purely up to personal preference. I've come up with a separate design for mounting a single iPad with a case. To make sure everything stays in place, I recommend using 3M or Scotch Outdoor Tape. The design of these holders is curved, which allows it to follow the shape of the OEM bezel perfectly. The best way to install them is to start by attaching the tape to the dashboard first, then putting the brackets on the iPad with its case still attached. Next, place the iPad on the dashboard and remove it afterwards, pressing the brackets firmly into place for about 30 seconds. This will ensure that they stay in position securely. With this setup, the iPad is held firmly in place by the tape, which won't let it fall off easily. I've included a picture of the type of tape I used if you're interested.
