iPad 6 mount for Garmin adapter
thingiverse
This adjustable mount allows for the iPad 6 (and other tablets -> see dimensions below) to be mounted onto a standard Garmin adapter used e.g. on the Edge 1030. max. device thickness: 8mm min device length: 165mm max device length: 244mm I recommend affixing a piece of a non-slip material (kitchen sponge worked for me) to the back of the groove to prevent the iPad from sliding out As this is my first project any and all feedback is welcome! (For some reason the upper part is flipped so make sure you print it flat face down!) All parts except for the adapter itself, the screw and nuts were designed by me and made in Siemens NX 1965. For fixating the Garmin adapter onto the bottom plate I used a standard m5x12 internal hexagon screw (head size: Ø8mm, length 5mm). You could probably use a printed one as well. Alternatively you could also merge both STLs and print them as one unit, thus not needing a screw at all (If needed I can provide the STL). Due to the excessive amount of support needed for that, I decided against it and printed them as two separate parts. Printed on an Ender 3 v2 using PLA filaments
