iPad 3 vertical stand/holder v.1

iPad 3 vertical stand/holder v.1

I whipped up a nifty iPad stand using my trusty iPad 3 as a reference model. As I'm typing this, my first print is underway - expect a slew of photos detailing the final result soon! Given that I needed it to serve as a sturdy video pod, I deliberately designed the stand at a sleek vertical angle. Fingers crossed, the little stabilizer bar will keep it upright and secure. The good news: my inaugural print is now complete, and lo-and-behold - it fits my iPad 3 like a charm! Why fix what ain't broke? For now, one perfectly functional stand suffices. To witness the fruits of my labor firsthand, take a peek at those photos I recently uploaded; all were snapped in crisp medium resolution using my Micro 3D Printer. Feel free to utilize this little design; leave me a comment if you think I can improve on it! Tinkercad was where the magic happened, thanks to some nifty standard shapes that made things easy peasy. As for printing: be sure to opt for at least minimal density to prevent structural issues. With hollow walls potentially proving too weak under tablet weight, go with a denser print for added strength. Resolution-wise, you can choose your preferred level; however, I included an extra file containing dual stand designs, perfect for matching your two iPads or tablets.
