iPad 2/3/4 'the new ipad' Stand

An iPad 3 stand design has been shared, fitting the iPad 4 as well due to identical dimensions. A new stand for iPad Air 2 is available at this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:989878. For iPad 2 users, download "iPad 2 Stand.stl." The creator wanted a stand that supports both Portrait and Landscape modes but found the existing design by tealid too square with unnecessary back support. They improved upon it using Solidworks for smoother results, also providing Tinkercad version. To print the stand, download "xxx_test.stl," replacing xxx with the base filename. The slot size can be adjusted using NetFabb Studio; files with varying slot sizes are included for different printer variations. A printer calibration of 9.4mm (8.6mm for iPad 2) is suggested based on Apple's listed iPad thickness. Print settings include .27 layer height, 10% infill, and extra shells. Sanding may be necessary to prevent scratching the iPad. The stand supports both Portrait and Landscape modes and was initially designed using Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com/things/lKTfNYRyg0a-ipad3-the-new-ipad-stand), later enhanced with Solidworks.
