IP Camera Swing Arm
thingiverse
So I set up an IP Camera system to monitor both my printers. My problem was that I didn't have enough space on my workbench. If I placed it between the printers, it blocked the control box. To fix this issue, I created a swing arm that would allow me to position the camera at various angles and easily move it out of the way. I made it using 1/2-inch copper pipe, which was lying around. I only soldered the elbows on the arm, so the rest can be pulled apart. You could also use crazy glue or a similar adhesive for this purpose, as it doesn't need to be waterproof. I added another base for my TonTon camera, which fits many of that style. Most of the piping pulls apart, making these interchangeable and repositionable. You can also turn the camera to point it in any direction you want. I added a replacement for the original base, matching the TonTon style with mounting holes if used as a stand. I created a new bracket, which is smaller but stronger. I bought two Pipe Stay-Extended for 1/2-inch Copper and sandwiched them together with a model in the middle. For those who don't know, you can buy these little "pocket pipe cutters" almost anywhere for next to nothing: https://www.amazon.ca/Heavy-Cutter-Adjustable-Cutting-3-16mm/dp/B07FNNBGSJ/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=pipe+cutter&qid=1581603742&sr=8-12 If you print two of the camera bases, you can place one on either end of a short piece of pipe and make a stand.
