This is a cutting-edge IoT weather station project that will be continuously enhanced and refined as we test and expand the project in the field. The project consists of: A Control Box designed specifically for NodeMCU + Light Sensor A Stevenson Screen engineered for DHT11 (or other) Temperature/Humidity Sensor Joints precision-made for 22mm PVC Pipe A Solar Panel Mounting Bracket included in the updated SketchUp file Check back regularly for updates. http://www.progressth.org/2016/12/3d-printed-iot-weather-station.html Print Settings: Printer: ExtraBot 3020 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Low Infill: 20% or higher Notes: The joints require supports on the build plate only. Some challenging bridging is required for the joints; we use high fan settings to expedite the setting of PLA as much as possible. Post-Printing: We employed friction welding to connect many of the parts. We also utilized (2) 6mm x 100mm bolts and nuts for connecting the Stevenson Screen together, and (4) 3mm x 20mm bolts and nuts for the control box cover. The nuts are placed in position, and a small spot-weld using friction welding (PLA filament used in a rotary tool — the heat from the spinning filament melts the plastic and "welds" it together) to hold the nuts in place permanently. How I Designed This: I designed this project in SketchUp and exported it as an .STL into Cura. The SketchUp file has been included for others to modify.
