If you have invested in cryptocurrency, you know that their values can fluctuate wildly overnight. One day they are worth a small fortune; the next day they are nearly worthless. The same volatility affects stock markets. Even if you put your faith in a particular stock, its value can plummet overnight. So how do you track these assets and stay on top of their current value? You can update spreadsheets manually or create a custom device to check values for you: an IoT wallet! For this project, I created a Google spreadsheet that tracks my assets and updates their values in real-time based on ticker values retrieved from the internet. The spreadsheet is accessible via Wi-Fi connection from an ESP32 module, and a summary of the data is displayed on an OLED screen. To create a sleek and functional wallet, I used a 3D printer to craft a custom case that houses electronic components. Did you know that you can buy a high-quality Creality 3D CR10 for just $359.99?
