IOIO HT2000 Electronic Thermostat to Danfoss RAVL adapter and lock
thingiverse
After more than 20 years of good service, I had to replace some Danfoss thermostatic heads, and they're not cheap. Then, a kid accidently pulled on one of the new heads and broke it :( So I looked for a cheap electronic replacement, and after comparing several models, I selected the IOIO HT2000 as both a reliable and cheap solution. The problem came with the plastic adapter to my Danfoss RAVL valves. It "grips" the valve head and when the electronic head is screwed on it, should still have a good hold on the valve. But on several vales, as soon as the head pushes on the valve pin; the head "ejects" itself from the valve! So I first designed a "lock" that retains the adapter on the valve, then redesigned the original RAVL adapter so I can replace it if I break or loose one. After a month of use, the 8 valves with added locks are in perfect condition and the heads are still strongly held in place...
