IO FPV

This is a high-performance hexacopter design for fast FPV flying. Its motors are tilted forward, allowing it to fly faster with improved airflow. Based on designs by Brendan22 on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/Brendan22) and our own expertise, this hexacopter is 3D printable and requires only zip ties for assembly. All setup information can be found in the video at the end. For better quality, watch the Vimeo version. History: April 14, 2015 New Video: December 28, 2014 Updated top cover for enhanced magnet support and added a GoPro 3 untested cover. Tips for Printing: I used an Ultimaker 2 to print this project, with 100% infill in all parts. Arms were printed at 0.1mm layer height and 50mm/s speed, resulting in incredibly strong PLA arms. The body was printed at 0.2mm layer height and 70mm/s speed, disabling combing for ColorFAB XT. Top cover printing with support yielded better results than without. To assemble the arms, use a rubber hammer to press-fit them into place, while the top cover fits better when printed at 105% scale. Eight millimeter diameter, one millimeter height magnets are recommended, available on eBay for an affordable price.
