Invisible Tie Clip

Invisible Tie Clip

Even though I'm posting this now, I actually created it a year ago. As a student, I knew that wearing an ordinary tie clip would draw too much attention, but I also disliked my tie flailing left and right, so I made use of the loop at the back of the tie, which I usually tuck the smaller end into, to make a tie clip that's virtually invisible yet still functions well. I've tried printing this thing with PLA, HIPS, and PETG, and found that those made from PLA don't last long - the clip part loosens up after a week of use. Those made from HIPS are of the highest quality (and I think ABS should also be good) but it's a lot of work to use on such a small print (0.3mm less than 1 min). I prefer printing it with PETG, which is not as stiff as HIPS but can be printed with absolute ease. As an aside, the clip may damage the inside of the small loop. If you find that the loop is still very loose, try clipping a piece of brim in or do what I've done - slide the clip in until the loop starts to fold itself into the innermost part.
