Invictor tactical warsuit Closed Cockpit
thingiverse
I gave someone's idea a try using plasticard here, and it worked out pretty well. They turned their blueprints into printable parts, but I ended up modeling from photos more than the original measurements because that's what seemed to work best. The original idea is actually thanks to Captain MAGpie: https://www.captmagpie.co.uk/2019/08/invictor-mkii.html?fbclid=IwAR23eL6_bscGpm8dVva0ghZB9Sqnaqkb_1rbb1u2BOaV46nrV9ilB5wnbLc I'm fairly certain that the sides of the interior cockpit have to be trimmed for the closed cockpit to fit in properly. The part that needs to be cut is shown on Captain Magpie's blog. Any parts with a 'x2' in their name need to be printed twice, and some details are used to cover the gaps left by the cage on the sides of the cockpit as shown on picture 2. I made the details separate so they can be printed at a higher resolution, which also makes sanding the cockpit a lot easier. To be honest, I don't have the measurements to fit them to the cockpit as one single piece either way, but feel free to try if you want to save some time. There are two versions of the cockpit available: Version 1 needs hinges on top and I tried to make it look like it could actually open so it fits into the cage hinges. Version 2 just fits flush with the top of the Invictor, and the gaps for the original cage need to be filled in. There is an STL file available for some optics like Captain Magpie has on his model, but I kinda like it without them so they are not shown on the photos.
