Drip up your water supply by installing an affordable water feeder into your compact aquarium! The device fits snugly onto the rimless glass of a 3.5mm opening. ### The Water Feeder Device To assemble the water feeder: * You will need one 500mL water bottle with a screw-on lid. * A straw that is slightly taller than the bottle itself is required. * Five centimeters of air tubing must be included in your materials list. * Silicone or waterproof glue is also needed. 1. Drill two holes into the lid of the bottle - one for the straw and another for the air tubing. 2. Insert the straw through the hole so that it reaches almost the entire length of the inside of the bottle. 3. Place the air tubing so that 5mm of it remains inside the inner lid. 4. Secure the tube holes with glue to make them leak-proof, taking care not to block the inside tubes. 5. Allow the glue to set for 24 hours. 6. Tie a simple knot in the air tubing. 7. Fill the bottle with water and screw on the lid, then invert it. 8. Adjust the tightness of the air tube knot to control the drip rate. Tip: Use a stopwatch and a 250mL measuring cup to estimate how long it will take for the feeder to dispense a full bottle (about double the time). With two drips per second, half a bottle is dispensed in about 45 minutes.
