Fragments of the Invermay Monument\nFour significant fragments of sculpture now displayed at Forteviot Church originate from the Invermay Monument. A substantial base also remains intact in a field near Invermay, situated remarkably close to its original location over 1,000 years ago. The monument was deliberately broken into fragments towards the end of the 18th century. Remnants of figurative artwork still visible evoke scenes reminiscent of Constantine's Monument. The size and sturdiness may indicate that the Invermay Monument was a cross-slab, similar to Gask, rather than a standalone monument like Constantine's Monument. The structure suggests an 8th or 9th century creation date.
