Inventables Carvey Wasteboard
thingiverse
The manufacturer's website already features drawings of their carvey wasteboard: https://www.inventables.com/technologies/carvey-waste-board. However, the measurements are not clearly defined. I am providing a more detailed technical drawing, a 3D STEP file and a laser engraving pattern with an enhanced grid. The wasteboard is made from MDF, measuring 280mm by 390mm, with a thickness of 12.7mm (0.5 inches). The step file can be cut on a larger CNC machine, and the DXF file used to laser engrave the grid. If you don't have access to a larger CNC, you can print out the wasteboard_grid_fixed.DXF, stick or laser engrave it onto the wood, then cut and drill it manually. The original file features an unevenly spaced grid, making it less useful. I corrected this in the DXF file. You can adjust the grid spacing to centimeters by editing the rectangular pattern in the "grid" sketch within the Fusion 360 file. I have also included a STEP file without holes for threaded inserts, allowing you to add your own. This design is based on the model featured in the Carvey Fusion 360 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqnvzxuXFTQ
