Invader Toilet Paper Roll Holder
youmagine
Moved over from Takerbot's Thingiverse, where YouMagine presented some fantastic image crops. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely thrilled with the two "turret shaped" fixtures that hold the toilet roll bar in place - they look a bit silly to me. I strongly recommend gluing the filament directly to the bar instead. And yes, it's green - a nice shade of green at that. To print this design, you'll need only four parts: 1. Invader: "1-Part_Complete.stl" 2. Bar: "Bar.stl" 3. Two Turrets: "Turret.stl" The two "turrets" will hold the toilet roll bar in place, along with a small amount of filament. Due to the size of the Invader-part, I've created sliced versions as well. The dimensions for each variant are: 1-Part...: (264 x 216)mm 2-Part...: (132 x 216)mm per part 4-Part...: (108 x 96)mm (top parts) 4-Part...: (132 x 120)mm (bottom parts) If you choose to print the multiple parts Invader, ensure that the direction of the last layer is consistent. I printed the two-part Invader without paying attention to this detail. When assembling the design, you'll need a few materials in addition to the printed parts: two pieces of 3mm filament (each about 60mm long) and some glue. First, glue the Invader parts together if you're using the multiple parts version. Then, stick the filament into the "turret" and glue it securely, making sure it's centered. Note that the bottom hole of the turret is slightly larger - insert the glue there for a secure fit. Putting everything together should be straightforward from here.
