Intro to Hydrophobic Surfaces Badge/Magnet
thingiverse
This was made for a workshop at Knox Makers: Intro to Hydrophobic Surfaces. http://www.knoxmakers.org Knox Maker Devin discusses the physics and chemistry of superhydrophobic (extremely water repellent) surfaces, demonstrates the behavior of liquids on surfaces coated with Rustoleum NeverWet, and describes some possible applications of superhydrophobic effects (controllably hydrophobic surfaces, self cleaning surfaces, etc.). Participants bring items they want coated with NeverWet to the Show and Share before the talk. Feel free to adapt this badge for your own workshop/project. Can be easily turned into a fridge magnet instead by glueing/affixing magnets on the back of the magnet versions. Fabric-friendly badge version with stitch holes along the edge. Entire badge ends up about the size of a business card cut in half.
