Intrepid 4x5 MK2 Ground Glass Cover

This is an alternative to the ground glass protector that comes standard with the Intrepid 4x5. There are ground glass protectors available for purchase, and they may be a better choice depending on what types of things you're anticipating may hit the ground glass. This custom option was a fun, quick project that stayed true to the Intrepid brand. The grooves along the sides hold the elastic in place, which keeps the ground glass securely attached to the camera. The lip on either side helps maintain its position and keep it centered. I created two versions of this design - one with shallower, longer grooves for the elastic and another with deeper ones (which is also slightly thinner). I prefer the second version but have included both options. The first version may hold up a little better, but I didn't like stretching the elastic as much.
