Intex Boat Oar Paddle Connector
thingiverse
This is a paddle connector for the intex challenger 2 inflatable boat. It's designed to connect the ends of the paddles (the ones with white pads). It has no locking mechanism so it holds them together with brute strength which might potentially make it unstable but seems fine so far. I chose to make it 34mm long and 34mm wide and 160mm tall. I've updated the design to be 180mm tall because there wasn't quite enough room for both ends to fit in this tube. You can make it taller for more security. I would start by making it 10mm tall to test if 34 long and 34 wide will fit your paddles because the paddle material is squishy and your size might be different. You want a tight fit that won't come apart unless you pull on it hard. This design is untested but they seem pretty stable. When I hold the connected paddles upside down and shake them they dont fall out or move. If you want guaranteed strength you could duct tape each paddle to the connector but I want mine to be hot swappable. Just so you don't print the wrong thing for the wrong boat, this is the boat that I designed this for: https://www.amazon.com/Intex-Challenger-2-Person-Inflatable-French/dp/B000Y22BBA/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=intex+challenger+2&qid=1622636953&sr=8-1
