Interstellar Mining Co. Board Game (Work in Progress)
pinshape
This is a board game project I'm currently working on. It's designed for 2-4 players and typically takes between 10-20 minutes to play a complete game. At its core, it involves positioning, resource management, and strategic inter-player relationships. Please refer to the attached pdf document for the official rules. The STL files included are tailored to accommodate the use of LEGO pieces as game components and poker chips as resource tokens. However, due to their design, fuel tokens won't fit directly onto the game tiles. As a result, players will need to track fuel costs manually by paying as they move units around the board. So far, I've created three distinct maps for the game, but Map 1 is the only one that has undergone extensive playtesting. When printing out the game components, I recommend using more shells than standard settings (2 shells, 10% infill, and moderate speed) to prevent them from breaking off. For a richer gameplay experience, consider printing a set of game pieces in different colors for each player - specifically: one Command Officer, one Base unit, four Carrier units, four Tank units, and four Artillery units. Additionally, print resource tokens (seven of each per player) in various colors to represent the different resources available. If you have any questions or are unsure about any aspect of the game, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your feedback is invaluable in helping me refine and develop this project further. I'll update both the rules and this post as necessary to ensure clarity and accuracy.
